Monese Meets Tallinn Startup Week

Last week we took part in Startup Week Tallinn by throwing a #MoneseMeets showcase event at our brand new office in the immensely hip Telliskivi Creative City. The office was so new that we’d only ever held parties there so far! Almost 200 guests joined us, to get to know our teams and to find out more about the career opportunities we have available.

The evening was kicked off by Hanna-Mari and Norris, who took the stage to welcome everyone and tell our story.

We then hosted a panel focused on exploring the borderless generation, where we were joined by Sten Tamkivi (Topia), Maria Magdaleena Lamp (Jobbatical) and our very own Head of International Expansion, Lauri Haav. Who is the borderless generation? What does it mean to work without borders? Are we heading towards a closed society, or rather one that’s more open through all the technological breakthroughs we’re seeing today? What still needs to be invented in this space? It was a very inspiring conversation!

Then each of our teams pitched their skills and know-how – ranging from fraud quizzes to mock support scenarios – and the audience got to vote for the best-in-show. Our Mobile Engineering Team won! Now – while this may have looked like a job fair from the outside, the team managed to add quite a few twists. Some made ice cream, some mixed cocktails and some were organising ping pong friendlies. We had VR, quizzes, craft beer and an office dog... which we think was a great preview of what it’s like to work here!

All in all, it was an amazing night. We had a lot of fun and we were over the moon to see so many people drop by. Thanks to everyone who helped pull this together – including our friends at Hype – and we’ll see everybody at the next one!
