Send money to Bulgaria
We understand how important it is to stay in touch with relatives to feel close to home when you’re abroad. That’s why we’ve fully localised our app in Bulgarian! Our Support team speaks Bulgarian, and our transfers to Bulgaria in Bulgarian lev (BGN) are simple, cheap and fast.
Here’s what you need to do when sending money to the Eastern European country:
Step 1: Go to the Pay section of the Monese app.
Step 2: Add a new payee (you’ll need their full name and account number). This is also where you’ll choose the currency in which you want to transfer money (in this case, BGN or Bulgarian lev).
Step 3: Enter the amount you wish to send.
Step 4: Review and confirm the details to send the payment.
That’s it! The recipient should receive the transfer in up to three business days; however, please bear in mind this could also depend on the receiving bank’s processing times, alongside any additional checks we might have to make.
If you want to check the exchange rates and fees, go to the Pay section of your Monese app.

We’re on a mission to make managing your finances as easy as possible for you, so we didn’t just stop at international money transfers. Here are other features we’ve built to help you better manage your funds:
- Use our Spending Overview feature to know exactly how much you’re spending and on what.
- Set up a weekly or monthly budget to help control your spending. Get better insights into how much you’ve spent plus what you’ve got left over for the remainder of the period.
- Create up to 10 pots per currency account. Save automatically by rounding up transactions to the fullest amounts and send the spare change to a designated pot.
We’re constantly working on making spending, saving and sending money easier. If you’ve got any ideas on which currency or country we should support next, or what new features you’d like us to build, let us know on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
