April Monthly Update Features 1

We can’t believe we’re already four months into 2019! It just goes to show that time flies when you’re having fun – because we’ve been having a great time building a host of new features into the Monese app.

We thought it’d be a good idea to start rounding all of these up in a new regular segment of our blog, the monthly feature update.

A handy breakdown of your monthly spending

Spending-Overview-5

First off, April has seen the introduction of our Spending Overview, a neat range of features designed to increase your awareness of your monthly outgoings. This includes a new screen, complete with donut graph, that helps you dig into your spending, by category, via a comprehensive transaction list.

Being attentive to your spending is the best way to keep it under control. We’re committed to adding to this feature month by month, and you can read more here.

Updates to our referral programme

We’ve switched up our Invite & Earn programme, which now better rewards the person you’re sharing your code with. They’ll also receive a free contactless debit card, enabling you to spread the joy – while adding them to a select pool of contacts who you can pay, or request payments from, at the touch of a button.

Better value money transfers, now further abroad

We’ve continued to improve the range of international currencies covered by our low-cost transfer rates. We recently added both Brazilian real and Turkish lira to a growing list which has made it easier to save money for those transferring money to these countries.

Apple Pay in more countries!

Apple Pay is the easy, fast and secure way to shop online and in-store. We’ve added support for more countries, meaning that you can add your personal Monese cards to your Apple Wallet in the UK, France, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain and Sweden.

No address? No problem.

We teamed up with the Post Office in the United Kingdom to run a trial programme that helps those presently without their own residential address to nevertheless sign up to Monese and receive their own contactless debit card. You can read more here.

And finally...

Other additions to the Monese app this month include:

  • A simpler, clearer currency converter for your international payments
  • An easier way to search your transactions, straight from the home screen
  • The ability to search through your phone contacts from the payments screen

We’re always looking to improve your money management experience in every way we can – so we’d love to hear your thoughts on how the Monese app is working for you and what other extra features you’d like to see in the future.

If anything springs to mind, you can always reach out to us on our social channels – Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

See you in May for the next monthly feature update!
