Millions of people are facing a serious humanitarian crisis and in need of urgent assistance as people displaced from Ukraine become homeless or embark on a painful journey to a different country and families are separated.
For displaced Ukrainians who need a local account in the EEA or UK to send or receive payments, we’re offering EUR and GBP accounts with no fees.
Ukrainians in the EEA
If you’re displaced from Ukraine and in the EEA, you can open a Monese EUR account, and we’ll refund all the fees for anyone who signs up with a Ukrainian ID. You can sign up automatically through the Monese app using the EEA address you’re present at. Depending on the country you're in, you may also need to provide us with an immigration document to open your Monese account.
Ukrainians in the UK
If you’re displaced from Ukraine and in the UK, you can open a Monese GBP or EUR account, and we’ll refund all the fees for anyone who signs up with a Ukrainian ID. You can sign up automatically through the Monese app using the UK address you’re present at. You may also need to provide us with an immigration document to open your Monese account.

How can I order a Monese card?
You can order your Monese card by tapping on ‘Card’ in the app, then ‘Order a debit card’. While you wait for your physical, contactless Mastercard prepaid debit card to arrive in the mail, you’ll be able to make use of a virtual card in-app straight away, which you can also link to Apple Pay, Google Pay or your PayPal account.
