Regardless of where you’re from and where you’re based, we give you the financial freedom to manage your finances like a true local. This means spending in the local currency with no hidden fees and staying connected to family and friends, even when you’re far from home. That’s why we make it easy to send money abroad in 19 currencies including Indian rupees! So whether it’s a one-time payment or regular transfers to loved ones in India, you can quickly and inexpensively send money internationally with Monese.
With Monese, sending money to India in Indian rupees can be done in a matter of just a few taps on your phone. If you want to check the live rates, tap ‘Send money globally’ in the Pay section of your app and type in the amount you wish to send.
Here’s how to get started:
Step 1: Open the Monese app and choose Pay from the bottom menu.
Step 2: Create a new payee (you’ll need the recipient’s full name, their address and bank account details, including bank name and IFSC code).
Step 3: Choose the currency (in this case, Indian rupee) and type the amount of money you want to transfer.
That’s it! The recipient should see the money in their account within three business days but keep in mind this may also depend on the recipient bank’s processing times.
